TS-1

Intended Use

TS-1 is a concentrated strongly alkaline foaming agent intended for cleaning and degreasing in the process of in-process cleaning and treatment of various internal and outer surfaces of equipment, pipes, tools and plant components in extractive, processing industries, construction, and transportation (motor, air and waterborne transport) industries.

TS-1 removes stubborn grime and organic impurities, such as petroleum; boiler oil; bitumen; asphalt, resin and paraffin deposits (ARPD); preservation lubricants; cutting fluids; light hydrocarbons; machine oil; soot deposits; carbon deposits; tar; thermal breakdown products; wax; industrial and edible oils; fats; soot; fly ash; chemical additives etc.

TS-1 is used to clean surfaces made of various materials, including metals (ferrous, stainless and non-ferrous metals), ceramics, glass, glass enamel, alkali-resistant plastics (PP, PVC, HDPE, LDPE and PS), wood, stone, rubber etc.

Scope of Use

The product is used to clean parts of plants and machines; structural elements and elements of units and gears; working tools; rubber components; oil systems of turbine units; oil coolers; tanks; containers; pipe surfaces; shutting-off devices; cooling and heating systems; freight and passenger railroad cars; locomotive bodies; outer surfaces of motor tractors and trucks; combustion engines and their components; pipelines (pipelines delivering flour, grain, other loose materials, gasoline etc.); and production facilities and their equipment, including walls, floors etc.

Characteristic Features and Advantages

• The product is non-toxic, non-combustible and non-flammable;

• It is completely water-solvable;

• It does not cause corrosion and does not damage the surface treated;

• It does not change properties of sealing materials;

• The product does not damage varnished and painted surfaces;

• Wide temperature range for cleansing solutions (20 to 98°C);

• Cleaning with the product can be combined with direct steam treatment.

Instructions for Use

• Cleaning is carried out by circulation, spraying, immersion (including immersion into ultrasonic baths and washing machines (submersible washers, drawing machines, circulation pump washers)), or wiping (with cloth, rags etc.);

• The cleaning effect of the Product can be enhanced by hydraulic impact (direct jet of the cleansing solution), ultrasonic wave fluctuations, direct steam treatment, splashing, and swaying of the treated object immersed in the cleansing solution;

• Cleaning is carried out using the initial rinsing solution, i.e. the undiluted Product or its spray solutions in concentrations of 1%, 2%, 5%, 10%, or 25%. Spray solutions are prepared using tap water. Use of the concentrated Product or TS-1-based spray solutions depend on the stubbornness and extensiveness of the spots to be removed. Spray solution should be prepared right before use. If an object to be cleaned is too dirty, it is advisable to use the concentrated Product or spray solution made up of at least 25% of the Product;

• Duration of the cleaning process is regulated by current methodical guidelines, instructions and directions adopted by the Customer. On the whole, cleaning should last for at least 5 min;

• Cleaning temperature is regulated by current methodical guidelines, instructions and directions adopted by the Customer. However, if possible, you may increase the cleansing solution temperature to reduce the duration and improve efficiency of cleaning;

• The cleaning equipment used should be made of chemically (alkali) resistant materials.

Safety Measures

The Product must be used pursuant to the directions (instructions) for use. Do not use if expired. The Product is non-combustible and non-flammable. Store is a tightly closed packaging. Keep away from open flame and electric heaters. Remaining Product and TS-1-based spray solutions should be removed from the treated surfaces with tap water. Prevent spillage of the Product and/or its spray solutions over electric equipment. Use personal protective equipment as per GOST 12.4.011-89 (working clothes, safety footwear, rubber gloves, safety goggles, and respirators) when handling the Product or its spray solutions. Prevent contact with the skin, eyes and nasopharyngeal mucosa. Do not eat or swallow the Product.

Packaging, Storage, and Transportation

The Product should be stored indoors in well-ventilated warehouses and protected against direct sunlight. The Product should be transported at temperatures from ‒ 50 to + 35°. The Product should be stored at temperatures from + 5 to + 30°C. The freezing point is ‒ 3°C. When melted, the Product preserves all its properties.

Shelf Life

The warranted shelf life in a tightly sealed container is 24 months from the date of manufacture.
